We have had a full, and busy, past couple of weeks. Matthew completed Air Assault School on Monday, which was a voluntary program for him through Ft. Campbell. It was a physically demanding endeavor and also required some studying as a couple of tests were involved. The hardest part for me was being patient with a very tired husband in the evenings... and making lots and lots of food to equip him after multiple mile runs.
Here are some pictures we took of our activities this past weekend and celebrating the end of Air Assault School.
Hooah :)
It was a beautiful Saturday, and Matthew built some shelving for our garage. This is William's daddy face. |
"Whoa... It's daddy under that hat!" |
Playing while daddy works |
And some time with mommy (he cuddles if he is holding a SPOON! brilliant! :p) |
I got to help with assembly that night (power drill yeah!) |
Almost finished |
Headed to Air Assault Graduation on a rainy Monday |
Army guys (and gals) belting out various words and songs in unison. It was .. loud .. |
The Army has a way of getting people in line |
William's face after daddy and the other graduates all shouted "AIR ASSAULT!" in a very small room |
People from his unit that showed up for support. That is, if you can see them. |
He works with some great people |
You did it! |
Repelling tower |
Celebration lunch at G's pancake house |
Man meal |
Cooking dinner has become a shared task |
on the menu: grilled chicken with homemade bbq sauce, peasant bread, avacado+cream cheese+salsa pockets, and some veggies |
Got a great new bread recipe from steph. Need to snag some candle tarts that smell like homemade bread. Or just bake it daily. The latter would require more exercise and flour. |
Apparently that meal got him going because he is now rocking back and forth on hands and knees |
Love ALL of this! Those shelves are going to be great for storage. Woohoo no more air assault! Cutest little boy around!
