Blessings in Blue

My mother planned a Gender Reveal party for Matthew and I to be able to share with our family the sex of our first baby.  It was a great way to see our families and celebrate together upon our visit to Georgia for Christmas.  My dad and stepmother, mother and stepfather, aunt, uncle, Polly, and Matthew's parents were all there to celebrate with us.  Matthew's grandmother drove in from Pine Mountain, GA.  Becky got to come even though her two jobs keep her super busy.  Cousins surprised us when we thought they were out of town.  We even got to Skype in my brother and sister-in-law and niece, Charlotte! We feel so blessed to have so much family living close-by and loving and supporting us throughout our lives.

We ordered a cake that had icing in the middle that matched our baby's sex.  After a time of talking and eating dinner, we cut into the cake to reveal that we are having a baby boy.  I'm always too busy having fun to remind myself to take pictures.  Here are some from my cousin, Ashley.  I'll post more as I get them.

Baby is already hiccupping and kicking up a storm.  This is the first week I've actually seen my belly moving!  Matthew got to feel the baby's hiccups for the first time during our flight to GA on Dec. 21.  Baby even had the hiccups during his last ultrasound.  We are thinking the baby's name will be William Reid.
