Southern Air and Antihistamine

Being back in the South feels like taking in a breath of fresh air (along with a hefty dose of Zyrtec).  Now that we are within driving distance from Georgia, we have enjoyed getting to spend so much time with our families.  And they have loved spending time with our pudgy little lovebug who we call William :).

After a week's worth of pulling our hair out unpacking, sorting, organizing, donating, and unpacking some more, we decided to get away and go see Matthew's family in Perry, GA.  Perry is a small town about 30 min south of Macon, GA, where I grew up.  While we were there, we got to see Aunt Becky, Uncle Joe and Mary Jane, their granddaughters and honorary Uncle Paul, Pop Pop and Mimi and Papa Paul and Yaya.  William is quite blessed to be loved by so many people!

Getting ready for his first swim.  Cute, huh?

Will wishing he had granddaddy's tan

Look at that pudge!

Many thanks to Jill Masterson for the get up

Loves chewing on those fingers

First time in the pool!

He likes it!

Oh oh oh so bright grandmama!

Grandmama gettin him ready for the summer olympics

Whoops!

So much fun!  This child loves the water.

Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary Jane came to visit.  Matthew's Uncle Joe is a dentist in Macon and is and a big reason Matthew decided to go into that field.

Aunt Marry Jane affectionately called "Jelly Bean" by her hubby of multiple years :).  They are so sweet together.

Grilling out

Summertime. (sigh)

The Boland girls come to visit---Ann Drew, Mary Jane, Claire and Amelia

The sunlight was so beautiful filtering through the trees

This is not a postcard - This is where they live!

Aunt Becky drove from Atlanta for the weekend.  Here is big brother teaching sister how to shoot a gun.

Love my Perry boy

Mr. Kelly's beehives

Each plant has a story.  This cactus started as a tiny piece from a field and has grown this large.  The pine tree to the right started as a little sapling in a flower pot when they lived in Jefferson.  Matthew requested they take it with them to each place where they moved, and now here it is!

Mrs. Carla's beautiful rose garden

Stop through Macon to see Mimi and PopPop before heading back to Clarksville

  3. Sweet, sweet pictures of Kelly's "Little Bubbie" with Matthew, Kelly, and Carla at the pool. What a fun first!

Those photos of the pool faces--and your captions--gave me just what I needed--laughter to lighten the day!

So glad y'all had such fun after all your toil in the transfer from CO to TN. Nice to get some R & R; just wish the drive weren't such a long one. (Hint)

BTW: Note to whichever friend gave William the plaid sun hat and suit, thank you! He's a doll in that get-up! Love that sweet face under the brim!
